MY STORY

MY MISSION

KJ JOHNSTONE, FOUNDER

I’m a 38-year-old masc-presenting queer woman living just outside Toronto, Ontario, Canada. For too long, I stayed quiet. I ignored the misogyny and queerphobia around me, convincing myself that playing small was safer. I molded myself into what they wanted—because standing out meant being a target.

But here’s the truth: staying silent doesn’t protect us. It only protects the systems that keep us invisible.

If you’re queer, if you’re a woman, if you live outside the lines of the status quo—you know what it feels like. The homophobic comments brushed off as "just jokes." The invasive, inappropriate questions from strangers who feel entitled to your life. The discomfort of walking into a public bathroom, only to be met with stares, gasps, or worse. The way the world tries, over and over, to make us feel small.

I spent years dimming my authenticity to make others comfortable. But I refuse to do that anymore. And I don’t want you to either.

FOUND HER VOICE is more than clothing—it’s a protest, a movement, a reminder that we have every right to take up space. Our designs call out microaggressions, challenge exclusion, and push back against the erasure of queer and feminist voices. We’re here to disrupt, to educate, and to build a community that refuses to be silenced.

Because this isn’t just my story. It’s all of ours. And it’s time we made damn sure the world hears us.
